Susan (Garber) Arehart, 51, of Staunton, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Staunton.
Ms. Arehart was born December 16, 1963 in Staunton, the daughter of Betty (Wine) Garber VanLear and the late John McKinley Garber.
Susan was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church where she helped with the nursery and assisted with the quilting ministry. She was employed for 34 years at Envoy of Staunton in the Dietary Department. Susan enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, and helping her mother distribute food and quilts to the Verona Community Food Pantry.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Arehart is survived by numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Robert D. McCarty.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Pleasant View Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Rev. William Bill Garber, Gabe H. Frank, Todd Frank, Kenneth Leach, Douglas VanLear, Steve Troxell, Kenneth Page, Jr., and Kenneth Cupp.
