Roy Lee Brown, 56, husband of Sonya (Talley) Brown of 168 Hermitage Road passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Sentra RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.
Roy was born on September 14, 1960 in Charlottesville, Virginia, a son of Annie (Page) Brown and the late Ernest Brown.
Roy attended Union Baptist Church of Waynesboro and was a delivery driver for FedEx. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, working outside and playing with their family dogs.
In addition to his father, Roy was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Carol Fitch.
Surviving in addition to his mother, and his wife of 35 years, are two brothers, Ernest Elvin Brown and Carl Brown and his fiance Myra Diggs; two sisters, Evelyn Strothers and husband Johnny and Debbie L. Franklin; a brother-in-law, Garrett Fitch; special cousin, Annie Crawford and special niece, Dana Lee Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews; a mother-in-law, Rosa (White) Talley; a father-in-law, A. Eugene Talley; a brother-in-law, Dell Talley; and three wonderful family dogs, Rennie, Bo, and KeepHer, also survive.
The family will receive friends at the residence from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 and Sunday, January 29, 2017.
A Memorial gathering will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
