Ralph Leonard Jackson, 90, widower of Patricia Ellen (Sherwood) Jackson, of Hankey Mountain Highway, Churchville, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Jackson was born in Estaline Valley, Virginia on January 11, 1931 a son of the late Homer Morgan and Virginia Madie (Harlow) Jackson.

Ralph retired from Augusta Lumber after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved blue grass music and western movies.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by three sons, Kevin Jackson, Lonnie Jackson and Leon Jackson.

Surviving, are three sons, Ronnie Jackson and Jimmy Jackson both of Staunton, and Homer Jackson and wife Connie of West Point, Virginia; three daughters, Tammy Ellen of Churchville, Judy Bosserman and her husband, Preston and Vicky Johnson and her husband Jimmy all of Staunton; a sister, Doris Janie Dull of Craigsville; two daughters- in- law, Velda Jackson and Debbie Jackson, both of Buena Vista; a special great-nephew, Preston Knight and his wife Tracey; numerous grandchildren; great- grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express a special "Thank you" to the staff at Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, especially, Mary, Becky, and Laura. Also, a special thank you to his granddaughter, Carrie Dean for her loving care and concern.
