Melanie Elaine Wade, 37, of Bare Street, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Miss Wade was born on March 21, 1980 in Staunton, a daughter of David Wade and Jetanna (Riddle) Eckard.
Melanie was artistic and a wonderful mother who cared more than anything in the world for her precious children.
Melanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Ann Riddle; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Josephine Wade, and a special uncle, George Wade.
In addition to father and mother of Staunton, Miss Wade is survived by a son, Phillip Peace Joseph Smith of Maryland; two daughters, Tiffany Nicole Wade and Jasmine Summer Peters both of Staunton; a brother, Jeffrey Wade; a sister Jennifer Moore both of Staunton; 2 nephews and 1 niece, Isaiah, Makayla, and Hunter; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
