Jennifer Ann Jenny (Dean) Keyser, 64, wife of Dennis M. Keyser, of 59 Smoky Row Road, went to be with her Lord, Friday, March 14, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Keyser was born October 9, 1949, in Harrisonburg, a daughter of the late Ralph Raymond and Nora Belle (Lawson) Dean.

Jenny was a member of Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church. She retired from Valley Vo-Tech Center with 15 years as a teacher and previously at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center as a business-vocational evaluator. She received a Bachelor of Education degree from Madison College in 1972 and a Masters of Education degree from Old Dominion University. Jenny enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, going to the family camp at Little Valley in Bath County, and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 41 years, whom she married June 24, 1972, is a son Christopher R. Keyser and wife Tais of Johns Creek, Georgia; a daughter Cheryl K. Chambers of Staunton; three grandchildren, Abree S. Chambers, Isaiah M. York, and Cruz D. Keyser; a sister, Ariel H. Fix of Harrisonburg; a brother-in-law, Ronald Buzz Keyser of Churchville; one nephew, Jeff Keyser; and three nieces, Amy Beyer, Sara Miller, and Kim Strother.

A Memorial Service will be conducted 1:00 p.m Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church by Pastor Denny Sites.

The family will receive friends following the service.
