Elizabeth Jane (Watkins) Beth Neer, 84, wife of Charles Edward Neer, Sr. of 402 Maxwell Drive, Staunton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Neer was born on September 18, 1932 in Oxford, North Carolina, a daughter of the late George Washington, Sr. and Leslie Isobel (Bradsher) Watkins.

Beth was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church, a member of the Womens Joy Sunday School Class and former President of the WMU. Mrs. Neer retired as a Real Estate Agent, working many years for Triangle Realtors and most recently with 1st Choice Real Estate. During her years in

Real Estate, Beth made many friends, providing a caring service to the community she so dearly loved. She was past President of the local Realtors Association, she enjoyed golf, playing Bridge with her friends and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neer was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Jane Watkins (Neer) Lunsford; four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Neer is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 67 years are two sons, Charles E. Neer, Jr. and his wife Karen of Charlottesville and Robert E. Neer and his wife Mary of Staunton; three grandsons, Sam Neer and his wife Michelle, Luke Neer and Travis Meadows; one great-granddaughter, Faith Neer and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark W. Jones and Rev. Temple D. Myers.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church Great Hall.

Entombment will be private in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
