Donald Wayne Swisher's Obituary
Donald "Wayne" Swisher, 67, husband of Kathy Cook Swisher, of Walkers Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Swisher was born on March 8, 1951 in Staunton, a son of Bettie Wiseman Swisher and the late Donald Blaine Swisher.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 34 years and his mother, is a son, Justin M. Swisher and husband Jesse Resnick and a daughter, Laura L. Swisher, both of Brooklyn, New York; and a sister, Bettie "Kay" Swisher of Staunton.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the Bethel Presbyterian Church by Pastor Kelly-Ann Rayle.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Johnson, Scott Childress, Paul Chittum, Derek Almarode, "Buck" Banton, and Carl Irvine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Wayne's memory, to Bethel Presbyterian Mission/Witness, 563 Bethel Green Road, Staunton, VA 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
