Betty L. Stoneburner, 85, widow of Paul F. Stoneburner, of Staunton, passed away peacefully, Sunday October 22, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stoneburner was born on January 17, 1932, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Herman Jacob and Bessie (Brown) Lotts.
Betty was a member of Cherryvale United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She immensely loved her family, friends, and home.
In addition to her parents and husband of 63 years, Mrs. Stoneburner was preceded in death by a brother, David H. Lotts.
Surviving is a daughter, Sharol R. Stoneburner; a son, Neal F. Stoneburner; a sister, Polly L. Brumfield; two brothers, Reverend Joseph L. Lotts and wife Peggy, and Fred W. Lotts and wife Sarah; special nieces and nephews, Lisa Glover, Nancy Higgs, Dana Lowe, Dale Brumfield, Crim Lotts, and David Lotts; and two very special friends, Sue Nickels and Jeannette Saunders.
A Memorial Service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, in Cherryvale United Methodist Church, by Reverend Clayton Payne.
A reception will follow in the church social hall.
