Yvonne Charlene (Smith) Holmes, 70, wife of Robert Louis "Bobby" Holmes, of Crimora, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Holmes was born in Staunton, Virginia on May 8, 1954, a daughter of the late John Thurman Smith and Beulah Lee (Chittum) Smith Cash.

Yvonne retired from Hershey's and greatly enjoyed her retirement at home as a stay at home wife. She loved traveling with her husband on their motorcycle and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holmes is preceded in death by a brother, Anthony C. "Ampy" Smith.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 19 years, are two daughters, Stormy Sackett of Waynesboro and Wendy Childress and her husband, Jamie of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Steven C. Smith and his wife, Kimberley of Staunton; a sister, Kimberly Fretwell and her husband, Steve of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Judy Smith; four grandchildren, Thunder Griffin, Mary-Rayne Griffin, Liam Zephyr Griffin and James Childress; a great-grandchild, Lilth; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no public viewing.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Riverview Cemetery by Rev. Don Martin.
