Wilta June Whitesell's Obituary
Wilta June (Stogdale) Whitesell, 80, wife of Paul Archie Whitesell of 1510 Terrace Street passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Whitesell was born August 26. 1931 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Raleigh and Juanita (Clark) Stogdale.
Wilta retired from Genesco in 1985 after thirty years of service as a seamstress. She enjoyed her home and loved to work in the yard.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitesell was preceded in death a brother, Robert Stogdale.
Surviving in addition to her husband of fifty-five years is a son, Jamey Dale Whitesell.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 in Augusta Memorial Park by Chaplain Mark Westebee.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to a charity of ones choice.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
