Willis Glenn Shuey, 88, husband of Charlotte Anita Shuey, of Swoope, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Shuey was born in Swoope, Virginia on April 29, 1934, a son of the late Meade Franklin Shuey and Lelia (Manley) Shuey.

Willis was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. He enjoyed cattle farming and was self-employed as a carpenter, making cabinets and furniture for family and friends.

Mr. Shuey was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Shuey was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Meade Shuey, Russell Berry Shuey, Howard Franklin Shuey, Marion E. Shuey, and George P. Shuey; and two sisters, Alice Worsham and Jane Eicholtz.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-four years, are a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 28, 2022 in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
