William Henry Shipe, 88, widower of Gale Anette (Hipes) Shipe, of New Hope and Crimora Road in Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Birch Gardens Assisted Living in Staunton.

Mr. Shipe was born in Swoope, Virginia on April 3, 1934, a son of the late Robert Lee and Myrlin (Randolph) Shipe.

Surviving, is his son, Jeffrey S. Shipe; two grandchildren, Brittany Lynne Shipe and Katelyn Wine Marinelli; five great grandchildren, Avery, Brady, Florence, James and Evelyn; and sisters, Gladys Cash, Lilly Cash, Mary Harris, and Shirley Reed.

At the request of Mr. Shipe, there will be no public services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
