William Dennis “MAC” McCarthy, Jr.

William Dennis “MAC” McCarthy, Jr., 72, husband of Doris Irene “Dee” McCarthy, of Churchville, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. McCarthy was born on October 1, 1953, a son of the late William Dennis McCarthy, Sr. and Dicie Iris McCarthy.

MAC retired as a supervisor from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCarthy was preceded in death by a sister Debby McCarthy.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 31 years, is a step-son, Andy West and his wife, Jessica and their children, Andrew, Madison, and Sarah; and a step-daughter, Erin Kephart and her husband, Tyler.

There will be no formal services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
