William Dalton Hinkle, 19, of 174 Silver Mine Road, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Richmond.
Dalton was born on September 5, 1993 in Staunton, son of William Todd and Joy Annette (Carter) Hinkle.
He was a 2012 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School, and was employed at Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. Dalton enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud bogging, working on vehicles and was an avid Ford pickup truck man.
Dalton was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Mr. Shirley McClung Carter.
In addition to his parents of Churchville, Dalton is survived by a sister Trish M. Hinkle of Churchville; his paternal grandfather William David Bill Hinkle and wife Debbie of Buffalo Gap; paternal grandmother Nola Pee Wee Hinkle Masincup and husband Billy of Churchville; maternal grandmother Thelma Carter of Churchville; a niece Tara M. Shiflett, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, many special friends, and also his best friend David Fitzgerald, III (Lil Dave).
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Green Hill Cemetery by Pastor Harold Wade.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Hinkle, Philip Truxell, Brian Green, Travis Masincup, Jon Talley, Zack Carter, Curtice Carter, Cody Wiseman, Rich Craner, David Fitzgerald, III, Derek Collier, Matt Wiles, Tim Fazzell, Curtice Hinkle, and William (Pug) Argenbright.
