William Douglas 'Doug' Miles's Obituary

William Douglas Doug Miles, 72, husband of Gina (Roadcap) Miles of Plaza Apts., passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Miles was born on November 1, 1941 in Augusta County, a son of the late William Leslie and Mildred Nancy (Monroe) Miles.

Doug was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver employed by George Weston Bakery as an owner/operator. Doug was a member of Staunton Eagles Lodge #608 and was an avid football fan.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two step-sons, Steven A. Stickley and Eric W. Stickley; a step-daughter, Ashley D. Stickley all of Weyers Cave; a sister, Gail Butterworth of Jacksonville, NC; a special friend, Russell Robinson; his special pet dog, Winnie and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John Ward. The family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will be held at a later date in Culpeper National Cemetery with full military rites.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Richmond, VA 23060.
