William Lee Peanut Blackburn, Jr. 67, husband of Patsy Jean (Bosserman) Blackburn of 79 Turkey Ridge Road passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Blackburn was born on March 30, 1949 in Waynesboro, a son of the late William Lee, Sr. and Frances Catherine (Pannell) Blackburn.
William was a member of Crimora United Methodist Church and retired in 2009 from the City of Waynesboro. Peanut enjoyed hunting, drag racing and was an amateur Ham Radio operator.
Mr. Blackburn was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 37 years are three sons, William Kevin Blackburn and his wife Carrie, Rory W. Cash all of Fishersville and Gregory L. Cash and his wife Nancy of Stuarts Draft; eleven grandchildren,
Michael Blackburn, Christopher Miller, Emmalyn Miller, Alyssa Miller, Megan Robertson and her husband Cory, Mat Cash, Crissi Christy, Amber Lipscomb and her husband Jacob, Courtney Grimm and her fianc Cory OLeary, Ariel Christy and Cory Cash; two great grandchildren, Montana Grimm and Christian Lipscomb; a number of cousins and his pets, Oreo \u0026 Pork-Chop.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A private Graveside will be conducted in Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
