William Lee Billy Staton, 61, husband of Cynthia Cindy (Shannon) Staton of 151 River Ridge Road, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his residence.
Billy was born on November 28, 1955 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, a son of the late Reuben William and Wanda Adele (Hall) Staton.
Billy retired in 2014 from Industrial Fabricators and prior he was owner/operator of Hoovers Radiator Shop. He was a proud Eagle Scout, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and he cherished spending time with his children and family. Mr. Staton will be remembered as a good listener and problem solver.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-seven years, is a son, Dustin H. Staton and his girlfriend, Nicole Chrisley and a daughter, Michelle N. McNeal and her husband Jason, all of Verona; two grandchildren, Claire M. McNeal and Drake A. Berry; a brother, Thomas Hunter Staton of Staunton; two nephews, Zachary T. Staton and Chance Staton and step-mother, Nancy Staton of Churchville.
A Memorial Celebration of Billys life will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jason McNeal, 65 Wakefield Drive, Verona.
