William Thomas Billy Daugherty, 56, of 710 10th Street and formerly of Bridgewater went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 25, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Daugherty was born on June 29, 1958 in Waynesboro, a son of Betty Jo (Carroll) Campbell and the late Thomas F. Daugherty.
Billy worked for the Shenandoah Landscape Services as an
equipment operator. He was a member of the Gold Mine Hunt Club and
was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his father, Mr. Daugherty was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Daniel Campbell.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Mint Spring, is his best friend, care-giver and son, Clay William Daugherty of Shenandoah; a brother, Joseph Campbell of Stuarts Draft; special friends and caregivers, Dexter and Jill Steele of Shenandoah; and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Josh Shifflett.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Lloyd Cook, Tim Taylor, Randy Craft, Pat Shoemaker, Troy Jameson and Benji Shoemaker.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Carroll, Dennis Carroll, Terry Payne and Tim Barrett.
