William Dean "Bill" Atkins, 62, husband of Donna Lynne (Wagner) Atkins of Betsy Bell Road, Staunton passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Atkins was born in Martinsville, Virginia on July 16, 1961, a son of the late Thomas Dean Atkins and Katheryn (Williams) Atkins.

Bill was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. He was employed by E.N.S Trucking Inc. as a truck driver, he was a lover of music, and he enjoyed singing and playing multiple music instruments.

In addition to his wife of 34 years, Mr Atkins in survived by two sons Michael C. Atkins of Roanoke, Virginia and William "Tyler" Atkins and his wife Christy P. of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Kasey D. Stone of Bassett, Virginia; a brother Tommy Lee Atkins; a sister Kathy D. Denny and husband Robert both of Martinsville, Virginia; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cherished church family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rader Ogden.

The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service (9:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.) or at the residence at other times.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Dwayne Adams, Ronnie Truxell, Curtis Fultz, Jim Spencer, Frankie Campbell, Dale Dean and Frank Dean.
