Wesley Lutton, 67, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Lutton was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on September 19, 1958, son of the late David Harry Lutton and Mary Elizabeth “Liz” (Martin) Lutton.

Wesley was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Augusta County Public Schools, where is served as a custodian for many years. He was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Waynesboro and enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, cookouts, and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Surviving, is a daughter, Meagan (Lutton) Cash and her husband, Adam of Mt. Sidney; two sisters, Cindy (Lutton) Blackwell and her husband, Jack and Robin (Lutton) Birckhead and her husband, Thomas all of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Norah, Hank and Kane Cash; three nieces; two nephews; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Shawna Hiner officiating.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
