Wayne G. Shultz
STAUNTON-
Wayne Glover Shultz, 85, husband of Joyce Shultz of 99 Palmer Mill Lane, passed away, Friday, August 13, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Shultz was born September 5, 1924 in Mint Spring, a son of the late John Leonard and Nell Lucille (Glover) Shultz.
Mr. Shultz was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during World War II in the Philippines. Wayne was a lifelong member of the St. Johns Reformed United Church of Christ and a member of the Middlebrook Ruritan. He worked for Worthington Hardware for twenty-four years and the City Transit Service for sixteen years. He enjoyed farming, the outdoors and loved being with his family, friends and serving others.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shultz was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois (Pannill) Shultz and two brothers, Fred and Eugene Shultz.
Mr. Shultz is survived by his and his first wife Loiss children, Marie Masincup and her husband Robert of Churchville, Robert Shultz and wife Rhonda of Staunton and Wayne and Joyces son, Brandon Shultz and his wife, April of Staunton; two sisters, Martha Lee Reames and Lois Sensabaugh of Staunton; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Shultz Fravel and her husband Chris, Jessica Shultz, Philip, Mary and Emily Masincup also survive.
The family will receive friends 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home.
A family memorial service will be private.
