Warren Grey Mike Herold, 87, husband of Mamie Ruth (Cline) Herold of Staunton passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Herold was born September 16, 1925 in Highland County, a son of the late Charles Roscoe and Daisy Enid (Hull) Harold.
Mike was a long time member of the Second Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was retired from Hajoca Plumbing Wholesale where he worked counter sales and he liked to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, Elnita M. Herold, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Hess and Mamie K. Eagle; and two brothers, Leo G. Harold and Jack H. Herold.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Marla R. Dixon-Bryant and her husband David W. of Craigsville and Michelle R. Brown and her husband Phillip T. of Bozeman, MT; two grandchildren, Aaron T. Brown and Hannah F. Brown; a brother, Charles R. Harold, Jr. of
Fredericksburg; three sisters, Margaret A. Rexrode of Centerville, A. Jean Harmon of Springfield and E. Sue Puffenbarger of Hightown; a sister-in-law, Gayle Herold of Monterey; a special nephew, Josh Shover and his wife Melissa and their children, Lucas Shover and Ryan Shover; and pet dog, Cliff also survives.
A Memorial service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Fishersville by Pastor Bill Johnson.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
