Wanda Kay (Bruening) Bodkin, 49, of Staunton, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Ms. Bodkin was born in Camp Pendleton, California, on May 6, 1976, a daughter of Ronald Lee Bruening of Swoope, and Diane Marie (Fitzgerald) Bruening of Stuarts Draft.

Wanda loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents is a son, Dakota G. Bodkin of Greenville; two daughters, Stephanie M. Brown and her husband Jason of Crimora, and Destiny N. Bodkin of Stuarts Draft; three sisters, Crystal B. Taylor of Craigsville, Beverley B. Kerley, and Melissa B. Bosserman of Churchville; six grandchildren, Oaklynn, Liam, Aleigha, Karter, Shelby, and D.J.; and the father of her children, Jay E. Bodkin.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
