Walter Alexander Hozela, 80, husband of Judith Ann (Clum) Hozela of Beulah Drive in Raphine, VA passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 12:45 a.m. at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, VA.

Mr. Hozela was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on October 27, 1939, a son of the late John and Jennie (Gepert) Hozela.

Walter served in the United States Navy, was retired from the Montgomery County Police Department as a Corporal and later retired from the State Attorney's Office where he was employed as an Investigator.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hozela was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ann (Donahue) Hozela; and a daughter, Cindy Hozela.

Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-eight years is a daughter, Karen Lynn Lellock and her husband Rodge of Ijamsville, MD; two step-daughters, Dawn M. Wolcott and her husband Stephen B. of Raphine, VA and Christine M. Mister and her husband Johnny of Lusby, MD; a step-son, Rick C. Wade of Raphine, VA; a sister, Sue Zehrung and her husband John Zehrung of CA; nine grandchildren, Chuck Mister, Brent A. Wolcott and his wife Melissa, Nicholas S. Wolcott and his wife Megan, MacKenzie Lellock, Brianna Wade, Corey Wade Schullin, Amanda Pellettiere and her husband Keith, Shelby Hyatt and her husband Christian, and Jennifer Tyrrell and her husband Mark; and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home Chapel in Silver Spring, MD by Reverend Stephen B. Wolcott.

Burial will follow in the George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi, MD.
