Waide Henry Marshall, Sr.'s Obituary
Waide Henry Marshall, Sr. 73, husband of Catherine (Shifflett) Marshall of 1808 First Street passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Augusta Health.
He was born on April 8, 1938 in Churchville, a son of the late Samuel Marshall and Nora (Back) Marshall.
Mr. Marshall was a life-long resident of the Staunton area. He was employed with Herndon House Furnishings as a delivery driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Martin and six brothers, Roscoe, Roy, George, Briscoe, Eugene and Clyde Marshall
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Waide H. Marshall, Jr. and Donald Lynn Marshall both of Staunton; two daughters, Peggy Marshall and Debbie Ayers both of Staunton; a step-son, Robert Lee Shifflett of Staunton; a brother, Jessie Marshall of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Merle Dodson.
The family will receive friends in the Mausoleum one hour prior to the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
