Wade Andrew Staton, 80, widower of Loretta Jane (Rowe) Staton, of Baltimore Avenue, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 23, 1944 to the late Glenn Wade Staton and Helen Lucille (Painter) Staton.

Mr. Staton retired from Staunton Fruit and Produce in 2013, and was a member of Living Grace Ministry. He was an avid NASCAR fan. In his younger years, Wade enjoyed hunting, and traveling and camping with his wife.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Staton was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Engleman.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Staton) Knight and her husband, Michael of Waynesboro, and Tammy (Staton) Harris and her husband, Daniel of Staunton; a sister, Patsy Thompson of Staunton; six grandchildren, Tyler Knight and his fiancée, Sarah, Seth Knight and his wife, Shawna, Kristy Clark and her husband, Jonah, Kasey Hammer and her husband, Blake, Courtney Smith and her husband, Jeremy and Caleb Harris and his fiancée, Madison; four great grandchildren, Sydney, Eisleigh, Gracelynn and Brooklyn.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Randall Black.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Caleb Harris, Tyler Knight, Seth Knight, Jonah Clark, Blake Hammer and Kirby Arbogast.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
