W. 'Jean' Crawford's Obituary
W. Jean (Austin) Crawford, age 59, of 540 Hamlet Ave. went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, February 22, 2010 after a long illness.
Jean was born June 21, 1950 in Richlands, Virginia a daughter of the late George Albert, Sr. and Jannie Kathleen (Martin) Austin.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a son-in-law M. Kevin McCormick.
She leaves behind daughter Pam (Crawford) Thibodeau and her family husband Steve, stepdaughters Megan and Tayla of Newport News; Daughter Donita Crawford McCormick and her stepdaughters Olivia and Rana of Staunton. Sisters and a brother in- law include; Donita Romanello of Staunton, S. Kay Knott and fianc Rodney Stinnett of Waynesboro, Debbie and LeeRoy Knott of Churchville; and a number of very special nieces and nephews.
At Jeans request her remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:30.
In memory of Jeans love for dogs, memorial contributions can be made to the Staunton/Augusta SPCA, 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.
