Virginia E. Heizer
STAUNTON:
Virginia Ellinger Heizer, 80, wife of Robert G. Heizer, of 3444 Middlebrook Road, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 in the Shenandoah Nursing Home.
Virginia was born June 14, 1928 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Casper H. and Kathryn (Swortzel) Ellinger.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Heizer was preceded in death by a brother, Casper H. Ellinger, Jr.
Mrs. Heizer was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and was proud to be a homemaker and wife of a farmer.
In addition to her husband to whom she married on November 11, 1948, Mrs. Heizer is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, R.G., Jr. and Nancy Heizer, Bill and Suzanne Heizer, Thomas and LeeAnn Heizer all of Staunton, Dr. John and Mary Heizer of Hagerstown, MD; a daughter, Ann E. Heizer of Staunton; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard P. and Ann W. Ellinger of Staunton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Spitler of Swoope and Mrs. Doris and her husband W. Lynn Heizer; and a sister-in-law, Ruby L. Ellinger all of Staunton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Carrie Kiser of Middlebrook, Cole and Ben Heizer, Sarah and Andrew Heizer all of Staunton and Patrick and Shane Heizer of Hagerstown, MD.; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kiser of Middlebrook and special friends Dr. H. Lynn Moore, Jr., Virginia Cline, Bernice Stewart and Edith Milstead.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, (March 2, 2009) in the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery by Pastor JoAnn Bunn.
The family will receive friends at her residence at anytime.
It is suggested those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of ones choice.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
