(Gilmer) Moran
March 7, 1942 – February 1, 2026
Virginia Ann (Gilmer) Moran, 83, wife of Marvin Lee Moran, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.
Mrs. Moran was born in McKinley, Virginia on March 7, 1942, daughter of the late Leonard Forrest Gilmer and Agnes Beck (Wiseman) Gilmer.
Virginia retired from Cornerstone Cleaning Service and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially feeding the birds, caring for her beloved cats, and spending time in her home.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Mary Ardella (Moran) Botkin; and a half-brother.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 60 years, is a daughter, Amelia Moran of Waynesboro; a grandchild, Hayden Moran; and a sister, Judy Gilmer.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A private burial will be held in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Rick Botkin, Todd Lloyd, Will Botkin, Burt Clark, Butch Truxell, Chuck Wiseman, Ted Hanger and Jamie Hanger.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
