AUGUSTA SPRINGS:

Virgie Marie Patty (Sprouse) Robertson, 71, wife of Donald B. Robertson of 9 West Village Circle went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at her residence while surrounded by her husband and three daughters.
Patty was born July 10, 1939 in Estaline Valley, a daughter of the late John Franklin Sprouse and Effie Marie (Sweet) Sprouse Dickey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena McNeal and Lois Colvin.
Patty attended Joyful Sound Church and retired in 2002 from the Stillwater Worsted Mills after 32 years of service. Patty enjoyed traveling, knitting, antiquing and was a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved giving to her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years are three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Sterrett and husband Madison of Staunton, Vonda Puckett and husband Kevin of Estaline Valley and Cindi Miller and husband Chris of Swoope; a brother and sister-in-law, Stevie A. Knight, Sr. and wife Vickie of Goshen and eight grandchildren, Travis Harris and fiance Brooke Frank, Kristin Puckett and fianc Michael James, Kaitlynn, Brooke, Kyle and Hunter Puckett and Britani and Adam Miller.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 in Joyful Sound Church, Augusta Springs by Pastors Michael Herring and Andrew Salcedo.
Entombment will be private in the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Madison Sterrett, Chris Miller, Kevin Puckett, Ronald Welcher, Mike Almarode, Stevie Knight, Jr. and John and Eddie Colvin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Bazzera, David Berry, Delbert Hite, Michael James, Codey Bussard and Zach Knopp.
Those desiring may visit the family at her residence at anytime.
At Pattys request, there will be no public viewing.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to Joyful Sound Church, PO Box 100, Augusta Springs, VA 24411.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the HOPE Cancer Center at Augusta Health and the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for their wonderful care and to Pattys family and many friends for their prayers and support during her illness.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.

Burial will be private in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens
