Violet Elnora (Crouch) Meadows, 91, widow of Donald Edward Meadows formerly of Hudson Avenue, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Brookdale of Staunton where she made her home the last three years.
Mrs. Meadows was born in Manassas, Virginia on August 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Rev. John R. and Lillian Estelle (Kohn) Crouch.
Violet was a charter member of the Memorial Baptist Church. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lillian Boyne; and a grandson, Abram Tevye Fielding.
Surviving is a daughter, Donna Fae Meadows of Staunton; a granddaughter, April Michelle Tanner and her husband David of Staunton; two great- grandchildren, Gideon Tanner, and Elliot Tanner; a brother, Floyd Crouch and his wife Jean of Newark, Ohio; a sister, Carolyn Rose "Doni" Batten and her husband Wayne of Richmond; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Memorial Baptist Church by Pastor Mark B. Jones.
Burial will be private in Thornrose Cemetery.
