Dr. Victor Thomas Oliver, 97, widower of Pauline (Johnson) Oliver, formerly of Surry Lane in Fishersville, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Brightview at Baldwin Park in Staunton.
Dr. Oliver was born February 28, 1913 in Galveston, TX., a son of the late John Thomas and Alice V. (Boillin) Oliver.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas, a Life Member of the American Dental Association and a member of the Houston Dental Society.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Dr. Oliver was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith V. Smith, his brother, John Stanley Oliver and his sister, Vivian O. Cochran.
Dr. Oliver was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John T. Oliver and his wife Gail of Staunton; a daughter, Paula O. Rau of Stuarts Draft; six grandchildren; Chris Daffin, Robin Daffin, Peter Rau, Jill Rau, Megan Oliver and Tom Rau and five great-grandchildren also survive.
All services will be private.
