Velisa May (Blasens) Wilfong, 81, widow of Berlie Thomas Wilfong, Sr., of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mrs. Wilfong was born in Ohio on March 31, 1944, daughter of the late George and Gladys Maude (Byers) Blasens.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilfong is preceded in death by a son, Berlie T. Wilfong, Jr.; and two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Blasens.

Surviving, are two daughters, Nellie M. Sensabaugh and her husband, Roger of Staunton and Lesa W. Lamma and her husband, Derek of Waynesboro; two sons, Carl E. Wilfong and his wife, Julie of Chesterfield and George W. Wilfong of Portsmouth; two sisters, Marie Carr of Fairmont, WV and Ethel Barreto and her husband, Tony of Flushing, NY; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Wilfong of Richmond; eight grandchildren, Laura, T.J., Jeff, Steve, Jennifer, Virginia, Sara, and Becky; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no formal services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
