Ursula Embrey Bibb, 101, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
She was born October 13, 1919 in Washington, D.C. to David Lee and Katherine Elizabeth (Corbin) Embrey.
Ursula's early years were spent in Washington, D.C. where her father was a District of Columbia Police Officer with White House Duty during the Woodrow Wilson administration.
After graduating from Stafford County High School, she worked as an administrative secretary at the U.S. Pentagon and continued her work there during WWII. After the war, she married Ward Moore Bibb, a returning U.S. Soldier from Weyers Cave. They remained in the Washington, D.C area until 1958 when the family moved to Staunton. She opened Bibb Day Care Center in the early 60's. Affectionately known to most as "Nana Bibb", she loved and cared for hundreds of children over the next 45+ years, many times caring for children of multiple generations. She will be missed by all who remember her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ward of fifty years.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jordan and her husband George of Staunton; two granddaughters, Samantha Bishop and her husband John of Poquoson, Virginia and Kate Boland and her husband Matt and great-granddaughter, Audrey Boland all of Radford, Virginia, her furry children, Calvin and Cuddlebug, and all the children that she loved and cared for over the years.
A private service will be held in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Tommy Craig, Chaplain. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
The family would like to express a "Thank You" to special friend and helper, Kimberly Craig who made her last year incredibly special and to all the wonderful Hospice workers that treated her in the last few years, she considered them family. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and was always grateful for the notes and special gifts she received from her church family.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, Virginia is in charge of her arrangements.
