Troy A. Love, 14, of Staunton passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 unexpectedly while vacationing with family in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Troy was born in Goodyear, Arizona on October 18, 2006, a son of Roberta Love and Rusty Potter.
He was a great young man and a eighth grade student at S. Gordon Stewart School. Troy enjoyed playing football, video games, spending time with family and friends, and looked forward to joining the military in the future.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Joseph Guy; three sisters, Brianna Passarelli, Destiny Potter, and Arrieanna Potter; sister-in-law, Ayante Finnell; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
A Memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Victory Worship Center by Pastor Ray Eppard.
The family extends a special heartfelt "Thank You" to family members, the Worcester Police Officers and Police Officer Emmanuel "Manny" Familia who sadly gave his life trying to save Troy when submerged under the water while swimming.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
