Tony Lee "Jesse James" Balser, 65, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 in Fishersville, VA.

He was born October 11, 1955, in Rockbridge County, VA a son of Robert Meeks and Betty Harris.

Tony was a traveling man that preferred to be outdoors at any chance he had. Anyone that knew him would know that he tried to have a rough and tough exterior, but inside he was the most selfless person that would take his shirt off his back for a complete stranger.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters Frances Desper and Sandra Harris, brother Mike Meeks; his children, daughters Crystal Balser and Rebecca Shea, sons Tracy Balser, and Kim Marshall; his grandchildren, Samantha Peterdeak, Christine Eakin, Christopher Eakin, Casey Eakin, Colton Eakin, Amber Yetter; a great-grandchild Alexander Peterdeak; a daughter by choice that he took under his wing Angela Mitchell; and many uncles, aunt, nieces, and nephews.
