Tommy Burns Smith, 71, of Staunton passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born in Staunton, Virginia on January 3, 1953, a son of the late Ernest Harding and Ruth Proffitt (Cox) Smith.

Tommy was employed by Southern Electric for over forty years. Upon his retirement, he worked for CMA and Wright Way Hyundai to dx cars. Tommy enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving, is a daughter, Brooke Smith Joiner (Justin); a son, Dustin Blair Smith (Sarah); the mother of his children, Lucy Vaught Smith; special friend, Rennie Thomas; grandchildren, Molly and Annie Smith, Madeline, Ryan, Bryson, and Brennan Joiner; two brothers, Roger Smith and Richard "Frank" Smith (Melanie); and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
