Tommy J. Price

STAUNTON:

Tommy Joe Price, 70, husband of Betty Joyce (Clark) Price of 507 Victoria Drive, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Price was born July 30, 1940 in River, Kentucky, a son of the late Jesse Bill and Louella (Price) Price.
Mr. Price was the owner/operator of the Verona 7-11 for thirty-seven years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and avid golf player.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Price.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of fifty-two years, is a son, Kyle J. Price of Staunton; two daughters, Jean P. Cook and her husband Mark of New Hope and Diane P. Morrison of Fishersville; three brothers, Johnny Price and his wife Carol of Dale City, Larry Price and Bill Price both of Mullins, West VA; two sisters, Phyllis Price of Chicago, IL and Sue Dye of Mullins, West VA; five grandchildren, Ashley N. Morrison, Kristen B. Armstrong, Megan L. Cook, Nicole H. Cook and Thomas K. Price; two great-grandchildren, Kaileigh E. Armstrong and Autumn R. Armstrong; a number of nieces and nephews; and his extended 7-11 family also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Memorial Baptist Church by the Revs. Temple Myers and John Crawford.
The family will receive friends at their home following the service.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of his arrangements.
