Tobie Glenn Helmick's Obituary
Tobie Glenn Helmick, 74, of Stuarts Draft went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Augusta Health following a short illness.
He was on born April 9, 1946 in Augusta County, a son of the late Ezra and Mary (Marshall) Helmick.
Tobie retired in 2009 from Augusta Block where he was employed as a concrete truck driver for over twenty-five years, a job he really enjoyed doing and was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge 1309.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Helmick was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Paul, and Marshal Helmick, and a sister, Betty McCumbers.
Those left to cherish his memory is a sister, Joanne Simmons of Brandywine, WV; long life partner, Vickie Wiseman of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Kim and husband Tony Lilly of Nimitz, WV and Amy and husband Brian Harris of Staunton; step-children, Annette Downs, Scott Miller, Ronnie Miller, John Miller; grand-children, Adam Lilly, Brandon Lilly, Tyler Lilly, Krystal Fridley, Kyndall Fridley, and Kadyn Harris; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Lilly and Kion Connolly.
At Tobie's request he will be cremated and services will be at a later date.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
