Timothy Davis Tim Hargrave, 55, passed away at his residence in Waynesboro, VA on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 after his courageous battle against cancer.
Mr. Hargrave was born on January 16, 1961 in Newport News, a son of the late Raymond Lee and Pauline (Davis) Hargrave.
Tim was a graduate of Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. He worked as a project construction manager for several companies located in the Maryland, Northern Virginia and the DC area. His work sometimes took him around the country. Tim enjoyed horses and pets. He was an avid lifelong learner and enjoyed increasing his knowledge.
Surviving are two step-sons, Tory Parker of Benson, NC and Ryan Parker of El Paso, TX; three brothers, Keith Hargrave of Athens, GA, Dennis Hargrave of Scottsburg, VA and Mark Hargrave of Hampton, VA; two sisters, Linda Hargrave of Virginia and Nevada and Sandra Bodell of Scottsville; an aunt, Mary Davis Mangum and her husband Y.P. of Newport News; numerous cousins in the Hampton-Newport News area, Rockbridge and Augusta County areas; a number nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mr. Ted Specht also survive.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Hilton Baptist Church in Newport News by Pastors Jeff Cannon and Lynwood Wells.
Burial will follow in St. Lukes Cemetery in Smithfield, VA.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
