Thomas Gordon 'Tommy' Fishel's Obituary

Thomas Gordon Tommy Fishel, 68, widower of JoAnn (Downs) Fishel, of Madrid Road, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Envoy of Staunton.

Mr. Fishel was born on October 3, 1944 in Mathais, WVa, a son of the late Adolph Gordon and Beulah Virginia (Oscar) Fishel.

Tommy was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church; he retired in 2010 with 24 years of service as a machine operator for Cerro Metals; he enjoyed mowing the grass, working on lawn mowers, and collecting angels. Mr. Fishel was A Friend to All

In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Fishel was preceded in death by a brother Jack Oscar.

Survivors include a son William Thomas Billy Fishel and his wife Denise of Waynesboro; a brother Roger Fishel and wife Barbara Louise of Staunton; three sisters Juanita V. Fishel of Verona, Reba F. Bryant of Crimora, and Nancy F. Warner of Fort Defiance; a grandson William Scottie Fishel and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the Shenandoah Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Russell Heinrich.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the Shenandoah Baptist Church, 170 Lee Highway, Verona, VA 24482.
