Thomas Joseph "Tom" Kayfus, 72, of Greenville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Kayfus was born on January 10, 1949 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a son of the late Robert Lawrence and Helen Amelia (Hiza) Kayfus.

Tom attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Staunton, Virginia and was a 1967 Graduate of Newtown High School.

In addition to his parents Mr. Kayfus was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Stewart and Nancy Cohen.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert L. Kayfus, of Buffalo Gap, Texas, Gary P. Kayfus and his wife Paige of Coral Springs, Florida and Timothy J. Kayfus and his wife Beth of Louisville, Tennessee; a sister, Kathleen K. Paccadolmi of Raphine, Virginia and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Connecticut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Newtown, Connecticut.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
