Thomas William "Snake" Jackson, 75, husband of Mary Jackson of Swoope, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Mr. Jackson was born in Swoope on March 21, 1946, a son of the late Dolly Jackson, Sr. and Leslie (Weaver) Jackson.

Thomas worked as a foreman at Augusta Utilities and was a member of the Staunton Moose. He enjoyed trout fishing and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, poker, hunting, spending time with his friends and joking around. He helped the Churchville Fire Department with anything they needed.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin D. Jackson and wife Janet, Delmar C. Jackson, and Dolly Jackson, Jr. and wife Virginia; and mother and father-in-law, George R. Davis, Sr. and Frances E. Davis.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 32 years, are two sisters-in-law, Edith (Cox) Jackson of Swoope and Sharon Davis of Dinwiddie; two nieces, Joan Davis and husband Mark of Verona, and Linda Jackson of Buena Vista; two brothers-in-law, George R. Davis, Jr and wife Barbara of Dilwyn, and George A. Davis of Howardsville and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Gwen Carr.

A family gathering will follow at the Churchville Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
