Thomas Randolph Melvin "Fruit" Fitch , 79, widower of Arnetta Elizabeth (Fields) Fitch, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Fitch was born in Nellysford, Virginia on September 14, 1943, a son of the late Melvin and Fannie (Clark) Fitch.

Thomas was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, listening to "oldies but goodies" and playing his harmonica. Thomas was known as a people person and often helped others in his community with their yardwork.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Fitch was preceded in death by eight brothers, four sisters, and a grandson, James L. Fields "Mr. Pibbs".

Surviving, are three daughters, Serena L. Fitch, Glenda R. Fields, and Erica M. Fields; a brother, Frank Crawford; a sister, Shirley Crawford Vaughn; a loving and devoted grandson, Chandel L. Fitch, as well as three grandsons, Eric L. Fields, Derrick L. Fields, and Markeise T. Fields; five great-grandchildren; a loving nephew, Julian Clark, Jr. "JuBoo"; a brother-in-law, Joseph Vaughn, Sr. "Boobie"; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

There will be no services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
