Thomas Gary Tommy North, Jr., 30, passed away, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA after a brief illness.
Tommy was born January 15, 1980 in Ronceverte, WV, a son of Thomas Gary North, Sr. and Cheryl Faye (OBrien) North.
Mr. North was formerly of Ronceverte, WV and has lived for many years in Churchville. He was a self-employed landscaper.
In addition to his parents of Churchville, survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Allen North and his wife Mary of Mount Solon; his fiance, Shannon Brown of Churchville; a niece, McKenzie North and a nephew Alston North both of Mount Solon; maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy OBrien of Ronceverte, WV and his paternal grandparents, Tommy L. and Wilma North of Churchville, VA.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Longanacre Funeral Home Chapel in Fairlea, WV. by
Pastor Patrick Ferrell.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea, WV.
Burial will follow in the Welch-Hanger Cemetery, Muddy Creek Mountain, Ft. Spring, WV.
Active pallbearers will Drew Britt, Robbie Simmons, Frank Swoope, Jamie Wilson, Scott McClung and Shannon Arthur.
Longanacre Funeral Home, Fairlea, West Virginia is in charge of his arrangement.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, March 1, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home, Staunton, VA.
