Thomas Bernard Fitzgerald, Jr., 66, of 173 Maine Circle, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on March 19, 1952 in Staunton, a son of the late Thomas Bernard, Sr. and Mary Alice Virginia (Rexrode) Fitzgerald.
Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, was employed with A D Fire Protection System as plant manager and prior to his retirement, he was employed by Klockner Pentaplast of America. He spent time volunteering at the Highland County Maple Festival, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was an avid animal lover.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wayne Fitzgerald.
Surviving is a daughter, Heather Y. Courtney and her husband Marvin of Staunton; three grandchildren, Breana Coleman, Destiny Courtney, and Andrea Courtney; an expected great grandson; three sisters, Judy Ann Hartsook and her husband Lyle, Beverly Susan Sprouse and her husband Michael all of Staunton, and Roxanne Marie Fitzgerald and her husband George of Mint Spring; a number of nieces and nephews; and his pet dog "Missy".
In keeping with Mr. Fitzgerald's request, all services will be private.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
