Terry Lee Kelley, Sr. 70, husband of Joan Jean (DeVault) Kelley of 63 Westgate Road, Verona, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Kelley was born May 1, 1942, in Grafton, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles James and Zelda Lucille (Robinson) Kelley.
Terry was retired from Alcoa working in the electrical maintenance department. He was a life member of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department, the Verona Moose Lodge #2172, the Staunton Elks, the Staunton Eagles and a member of the Staunton-Augusta Civic Club. Mr. Kelley was a past Scout Master for Verona Troop 121 and was devoted to his childrens sports activities including coaching little league baseball, football, basketball and girls softball.
In addition to his wife of 52 years is a son, Terry Lee Kelley, Jr. and his wife Denise Elizabeth of Verona; two daughters, Tammy Jo Weeks and her husband Bill of Staunton and Teresa Jean Kelley of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Meganne Renee Manson and her husband Ty, J. Scott Cline and his fiance Kaylor Vaughn, Kelley Michelle Brooks and her husband Bucky, Lee Edward Kelley and his wife Lauren, Thomas Joseph Kelley and Sean William Weeks; four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John W. Ward.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Lee Edward Kelley, J. Scott Cline, Thomas Joseph Kelley, Ty Manson, Steven DeVault and Josh DeVault.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department.
