(Thompson) Mayne
January 20, 1949 – November 6, 2024
Teresa Ann (Thompson) Mayne, 75, of Verona, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Mayne was born in Staunton, Virginia on January 20, 1949, the daughter of the late Norwood Thomas Thompson and Rebecca Ann (Harris) Thompson.
After 20 years of dedicated service, Teresa retired from Walmart and was a faithful member of Verona United Methodist Church. She had a passion for golf, hiking, and traveling, and found joy in reading and tending to her flower gardens.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mayne was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Phillips, II; her second husband, Frank Lester Mayne; and a special friend, Danny William Grogg.
Surviving, are two sons, Charles Wesley Phillips and his wife, Betty of Swansboro, NC and Thomas Lee Phillips of Staunton; a daughter, Debora Michelle Phillips of Raphine; a brother, Johnny Thompson of Grottoes; eleven grandchildren, Christina Lewis, Dillon Lewis, William Lewis, Ashley Hackney and her husband, Shawn, Jeremy Phillips and his wife, Miranda, Michael Bass, Matthew Bass and his wife, Jennifer, Felicia Bass, Miranda Phillips, Hannah Phillips, and Chris Craun; and eight great-grandchildren, Hayden, Adelyn, Hayley, Marley, Zayne, Zoey, Jasper and Grayson.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Argenbright, Chris Foley, Harold Engstrom, Dillon Lewis, Dennis Yarnell, Danny W. "D.W." Grogg, and Andrew Whitelaw.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
