Teresa Ann (Goodman) Barnes, 58, wife of William Carl "Bill" Barnes, of Staunton, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Barnes was born in Staunton, Virginia on May 4, 1965, a daughter of the late Robert Miles Goodman and Margaret Ann (Slate) Goodman.

Teresa worked as a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed singing, decorating her house, and collecting and wearing hoodies and jewelry.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 40 years, is a daughter, Alasia Glass and her husband, Kenneth of Staunton; a son, Joshua Allen Barnes of Staunton; two sisters, Rebecca J. Goodman of Chesapeake and Vivian G. Malinowski and her husband, Shawn of Tennessee; a brother, Raus L. Goodman, III and his wife, Candace of Ohio; four grandchildren, Luna, Alaura, Gabriel, and Sarah; two special "mother" friends, "Sissy" Gladys Winchester and Ilene Barnes; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jason Wagner.

Entombment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Active pallbearers will be her sisters, Vivian Malinowski and Rebecca Goodman, and Shawn Malinowski, Charlie Slate, Jr. Jenkins, Michael Jenkins and Brandon Jenkins.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling her arrangements.
