Mr. Davis was born on October 7, 1938 in Lexington, son of the late Charles Eugene and Buelah (Clark) Davis.
Ted attended Valley Baptist Church, was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from G.E./Genicom with over thirty years of service as a computer programmer. Ted was a member of a Mens Bible Study that meets weekly at Rowes on Fridays and he enjoyed golf, gardening and Blue Grass music.
Mr. Davis was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-four years, is a son, Greg E. Davis and his wife Denise of Stuarts Draft; five grandchildren, Ashley N. Clifton and husband Ryan, Hailey Doss, Chris Doss, Derek Doss, Jr. and Lindsey (Doss) Perrow and a great-grandson, Ethan Clifton also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bill Harris.
Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Nolan Huffman, Bink Montgomery, Phil Crutchfield, Dan Crutchfield, Mike Doyle, Jim Logan and David Hayslett. It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Augusta Health Foundation, Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of his arrangements.
